Built from March 2020 when the government enforced a lockdown, the owner thought it a good idea to pass time building this container house.
They took 1 year on and off, finishing it a the beginning of the 2nd lockdown in March 2021. It was then moved North to Crest Estate, Nanyuki to be used by guests as a getaway.

The 40-footer is a luxurious 1 bed, 1 bath cottage, decked out with high end finishes and fittings from top craftsmen and manufacturers. It has a queen size bed dressed with 300 count Egyptian cotton bedding and a beautiful bathroom with a hotel standard hot pressure shower. A fully fitted kitchen, living room with a flat screen TV and Starlink high speed Internet combine to offer comfort, total privacy, peace and quiet.
Completely off-grid, The 40 Footer runs on solar that powers lighting, equipment and hot pressure shower. Outside is a spacious patio with an Outdoor Barbecue grill and wood burner perfect for an evening spent under the stars. Beyond the dwelling are perfect, unobstructed views of Mt Kenya, the Lolldaiga hills and the Aberdare ranges. Guests get to see the abundant community of Zebras, Antelopes, Warthogs amongst others.
